Yes, HDX mini totes are great for organizing cars, RVs, and campers. Each small tote can sit in the trunk, or fit in cabinets, making these mini storage bins useful for emergency kits, cleaning supplies, cables, snacks, and small tools.
Yes, HDX mini totes work well for kids’ toys and craft storage. The durable plastic and snap-on lid help keep small items like blocks, crayons, markers, beads, or stickers contained so kids can grab a labeled mini tote and put it back when they’re done
The 6.5 Qt mini totes are compact enough to fit in many standard shelving units, cube organizers, wire racks, and garage shelves. This small tote size works well as a drop-in bin for closets, pantries, and utility rooms, as long as the shelf opening is slightly larger than the tote.
These mini totes are designed for general storage, not as food-grade containers, but they can be used to group sealed items in cool areas like garages, basements, or secondary fridges. For direct food contact or long-term freezer use, a dedicated food-safe container placed inside the mini storage bin is a better option.
Compared to open baskets or fabric bins, HDX mini totes have solid sides and a snap-on lid that help protect contents from dust and light contact. A black-and-yellow small tote hides visual clutter, while clear-style mini bins (if used alongside them) make it easier to see contents at a glance.
A 6.5 Qt mini tote is ideal for small, loose items such as hand tools, fasteners, hobby supplies, cables, chargers, first-aid items, or pet accessories. This small tote size is best for grouping many little things rather than large bulky objects like blankets or power tools.
Mini totes like these are not designed to be watertight or to float when loaded. The snap-on lid offers basic splash protection, but these mini storage bins are meant for dry storage and general organization rather than for holding water or being submerged.
Rigid plastic mini totes generally handle normal household temperatures, but very cold conditions can make the plastic more brittle, and very hot conditions can cause warping or fading. To help your small tote last longer, avoid leaving it in extreme heat or deep freezing conditions for long periods.
Yes, HDX mini totes are stackable. You can stack each small tote individually, and four mini totes will fit two by two on top of one 27-gallon HDX Tough Tote, making it easy to build a modular mini storage bin setup.
Yes, HDX mini totes will be available in multiple colors. Additional color options for this mini tote are coming soon, so you’ll be able to match your small tote storage to different rooms, projects, or color-coding systems.
